Volunteer Dentists Needed for Lessons in a Lunchbox Program

The Georgia Dental Association (GDA) Foundation is excited to announce that we have the opportunity to participate in the Children’s Oral Health Institute’s Lessons in a Lunch Box program. This impactful initiative, sponsored by a generous grant from Georgia Dental Insurance Services, Inc., provides oral health education to elementary school students through engaging, hands-on lessons delivered by volunteer dentists.

What’s Involved? As a volunteer, you'll visit a local elementary school - of your choice, to teach students essential oral hygiene habits, using fun and interactive materials. Each child will receive a colorful lunch box filled with toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, and educational tools that promote lifelong healthy habits.

Program Costs Covered The Children’s Oral Health Institute requires a $295 handling fee for shipping the lunch boxes to participating schools, but we are pleased to share that this fee will be fully covered by the GDA Foundation—no cost to you or the schools!

Join Us! We are seeking volunteer dentists to make this program a success. Your participation will directly impact children's health and inspire healthy smiles for a lifetime.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Paula Gibson at (404) 636 – 7553, X 116 or paula@gadental.org. Let's give these students the gift of a healthy smile!
